CooksyUp – Terms of Use
Last updated: May 24, 2026
1. Publisher information & contact
CooksyUp is a kitchen organization mobile app available on the App Store.
Support & legal contact: support@cooksyup.com
2. Service description
CooksyUp is an everyday tool that helps you keep your kitchen up to date—without having to think about it.
Depending on the features available in the version you use, CooksyUp may offer:
- management of ingredients, everyday items, and their quantities;
- automatic quantity updates after you cook a recipe (based on the quantities provided);
- meal ideas and recipe suggestions based on what you have (and on your equipment);
- creating, saving, and sharing your own recipes;
- shopping list management to avoid forgotten items and duplicates;
- a CooksyUp account and cloud-synced shared kitchen (with a subscription or eligible access).
Without an account, CooksyUp works primarily on your device. With an account, some data may be synced via the cloud depending on your subscription and applicable quotas.
Some features may be available for free with limitations, while others may require a paid subscription (monthly or annual) offered in the app via the App Store.
CooksyUp does not guarantee absolute accuracy of data (inventory, quantities, suggestions): the tool depends on the information you enter, the recipes you use, and how you actually use your ingredients.
3. Account and authentication
Creating a cloud account requires a minimum age of 13. Local use without an account remains intended for users aged 9 and above, with parental supervision where applicable.
You must provide an accurate email address and, for email/password accounts, verify your address before using certain features.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. Sharing access, impersonating others, or creating an account on someone else’s behalf without authorization is prohibited.
4. Shared kitchen and user content
Shared kitchen lets an organizer invite other members to sync shared data (ingredients, shopping lists, recipes, meal planning, etc.). The organizer manages invitations and group members.
Content you add (recipes, lists, photos) remains your responsibility. You agree not to post unlawful, offensive, or third-party-rights-infringing content.
If an invitation is revoked, you are removed, or sharing ends, you may lose access to that group’s data.
5. Cloud service availability
Cloud and sync features are provided “as is” and “as available”. Their operation depends on your internet connection, third-party services (Firebase), and applicable quotas.
CooksyUp may suspend or limit access in cases of abuse (for example, mass sign-up attempts or use that violates these terms).
6. Eligibility
The app is intended for users aged 9 and above for local use. Minors must use the app under the supervision of, or with the consent of, a parent or legal guardian.
Creating an online account and using shared kitchen features is reserved for users aged 13 and above.
7. Personal use
CooksyUp is for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to attempt to bypass or modify the app’s technical mechanisms, security features, monetization, or content limitations.
8. Recipes, suggestions, and food safety
Recipes, suggestions, and cooking information are provided “as is”. You remain responsible for:
- food safety (cooking, storage, hygiene, expiration dates);
- allergies, intolerances, and dietary restrictions;
- verifying that recipes are suitable for your situation and your equipment.
9. Apple Standard EULA
CooksyUp uses Apple’s standard iOS End User License Agreement (Apple Standard End User License Agreement — EULA).
You can review it here:

10. Subscriptions & payments
If CooksyUp offers subscriptions or in-app purchases, prices are displayed in your local currency on the App Store at the time of purchase. Billing and subscription management are handled through your Apple ID.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. No refunds are managed directly by the publisher; any refund request must be made through Apple.
11. Intellectual property
All elements of CooksyUp (texts, logos, icons, visuals, content, etc.) are protected by copyright. Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification is prohibited, unless explicitly permitted within the app.
12. Limitation of liability
CooksyUp is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher will not be liable for any direct or indirect damage related to the use of, or inability to use, the app, including loss of data, content, or moral damages.
13. Termination and account deletion
You may sign out at any time. You may permanently delete your account from My Profile → Account Management.
Deletion results in loss of access to shared kitchen features and server-side removal of your account and associated cloud data within a reasonable timeframe.
14. Changes
These terms may be updated at any time to reflect changes to the app or the legal framework. The date at the top of this document indicates the latest version in effect. By continuing to use the app after an update, you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws in force in the Province of Québec and in Canada, subject to any mandatory public policy provisions that may apply in your country or region of residence.
